Production Title: Cocktails with Killers – “Into The Mind”
A Dark Theatrical Experience
About the Production
We are launching a new immersive theatrical troupe based in Sarasota, creating short-form, high-impact live performances (15-20 minutes each) for intimate audiences (150-200 people).
Each show explores real and fictional criminal psychology—including unsolved mysteries, tragic events, and the mindset behind extreme human behavior.
This is NOT horror-for-shock-value and NOT glorification of violence.
Instead, the goal is to:
- Place the audience inside the psychological experience
- Explore motive, distortion, obsession and unraveling
- Deliver an intense, thought-provoking performance
Performances will feature:
- A large LED visual wall backdrop
- Atmospheric lighting (low light, red tones, shadows)
- Light haze/smoke effects
- Minimal props, maximum performance intensity
Roles Available
We are casting for at least 4 performers for a core troupe.
Each actor will:
- Perform a solo 15-20 minute segment
- Develop and embody a distinct character
- Rotate across themed shows when dates are added
Character types may include:
- Psychological breakdown / narrator
- Obsessive personality / fixation-driven mind
- Confession-based storytelling
- Investigator or witness perspective
- Morally ambiguous or fractured psyche
What We’re Looking For
- Strong stage presence and emotional control
- Ability to deliver intense monologues
- Comfort performing in dark, immersive environments
- Experience with:
- Theater
- Method acting
- Dramatic storytelling
- Ability to hold audience attention solo
Bonus (not required):
- Devised theater experience
- True crime / psychological narrative interest
- Comfort collaborating on original material
Important Notes
- Content involves dark and mature themes (no graphic reenactments)
- Performances are psychological and atmospheric, not physical violence-driven
- Professionalism and emotional discipline are essential
- There is no physical contact with the audience
Rehearsal & Performance Details
- Location: Sarasota area TBA
- Rehearsals: Flexible but consistent (TBD based on cast)
- Show format: 2 performances per event night – Mostly Friday/Saturday evenings
- Audience size: 150-200 per show
Compensation
- Paid per performance for initial performances
- Revenue share for permanent positions in the troupe

- Optional short video (1–3 minutes) performing a dramatic monologue. iphone video acceptable
(Dark/psychological tone preferred but not required)
Callbacks May Include:
- Cold reads
- Improvised psychological scenario
- Tone/mood adaptation exercises
In person auditions will occur on Sunday, May 24th, 2026 at ART OVATION Downtown Sarasota.

Creative Vision Statement
This project aims to create something rare:
A theatrical experience where the audience doesn’t just watch a story…
They feel what it’s like to think inside it.
Other performances throughout the year will be consistent with holidays occurring at that time of year. Halloween, Christmas, etc. but all will consist of a dark horror theme.
